City
The Jimny functions in city conditions but makes no pretence of being optimised for them. The live rear axle produces a different ride character to car-based crossovers — more vertical movement over speed humps and road joins, more driver awareness of the road surface. The 3-door body means accessing the rear seat requires the front occupant to lean the seat forward — acceptable for occasional rear passengers, tiring for daily use with regular rear occupants. Turning circle is tight given the compact 3.5m body. Fuel consumption in city conditions averages 9 to 11L/100km.
