Geely E2 Apex

E2 Apex adds the active safety and parking tools that matter on busier routes without sacrificing the Aspire’s range claim.

E2 Apex is not a longer-range or faster version of Geely’s compact EV. It uses the same 39.4 kWh battery, carries the same 325 km WLTP claim and is listed at the same 11.5 seconds from zero to 100 km/h as Aspire. That parity is important: the top grade’s case rests on active assistance, all-round parking visibility and alloy wheels, not a battery upsell. A buyer can therefore price those features separately from the fundamental charging and journey question. A transparent-chassis visualisation accompanies Apex’s 360-degree camera view. Its driver support adds intelligent high beam, forward-collision and lane-departure warnings, emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. It retains the lane-change, blind-spot, door-open, rear-collision and rear cross-traffic warnings listed on Aspire. On congested multi-lane roads, that makes Apex the more rounded of the two, particularly for drivers who commute on freeways rather than remaining within a neighbourhood. The systems are assists, not substitutes for attention; markings, glare, heavy rain, sensor obstruction and erratic surrounding traffic can affect what they detect. Sixteen-inch alloy wheels distinguish Apex externally from Aspire’s 15-inch steel set. The current page lists a 1,300 kg kerb figure, identical to Aspire’s published number. Packaging is also shared: 4,135 mm in length, a 2,650 mm wheelbase, 375 litres behind the rear seat and 70 litres under the bonnet. The front compartment is more than a brochure curiosity because it can isolate dirty or wet charging leads from luggage. Apex retains the compact E2 brief while presenting information through an 8.8-inch driver display and 14.6-inch central touchscreen. Charging remains identical in principle. Geely publishes a 25-minute DC fast-charge headline but does not place an exact SOC window beside it on the current model page, so it should not be treated as a universal empty-to-full time. Home charging is still the preferred daily routine, and motorway range will be lower than the WLTP figure under many conditions. Apex has a five-year or 100,000 km service plan and battery cover for eight years or 200,000 km. The vehicle term is four years or 150,000 km, with distance-unlimited roadside assistance lasting five years under the applicable conditions.

Where the Geely E2 Fits Best

A practical view of the buyer and roads this model is best suited to.

Who buys this

Apex is for the E2 buyer whose week includes multi-lane commuting, complex parking and night driving, and who values active assistance and alloy wheels more than obtaining a different battery or performance level.

City
The panoramic view is Apex’s most immediately useful city advantage, reducing uncertainty around low obstacles and tight bay markings. Rear cross-traffic, blind-spot and door-open warnings remain valuable in busy shopping districts, while AEB adds another layer in sudden hazards. The car’s compact length and smooth electric response fit congestion naturally. Sixteen-inch alloys improve appearance but warrant kerb awareness. Cameras can be dirty or distorted, so mirrors, shoulder checks and direct observation remain essential.
Highway
Adaptive cruise, forward-collision warning, AEB, lane-departure warning and intelligent high beam make Apex better equipped than Aspire for repeated freeway work. They can reduce workload but do not extend the battery. Route planning must still account for a 325 km WLTP reference that will move with speed, wind, temperature, elevation and cabin use. The 11.5-second acceleration figure signals adequate rather than sporting performance. For intercity travel, charger reliability and the exact DC SOC window matter more than the top-grade name.
Off-Road
Apex should remain on tar and carefully maintained gravel. Its 16-inch alloys and low-mounted battery are not evidence of off-road capability. Hill-descent control can help on a steep, sound surface, but it does not create clearance or traction for rocks, deep ruts, mud or water. If a rural route is unavoidable, reduce speed, protect the underbody and identify charging and tyre assistance beforehand. Any significant battery-area impact warrants authorised inspection.

Geely E2 Apex — Should You Buy It?

The stronger all-round E2 specification for drivers who will genuinely benefit from AEB, adaptive cruise and a panoramic camera.

Apex earns its name through assistance rather than battery capacity. It retains every practical E2 advantage—325 km WLTP, dual luggage areas and compact packaging—then adds systems that can matter in dense traffic and on freeways. It remains a city-first EV with a modest performance brief, not a long-distance grand tourer. Buyers who rarely leave familiar low-speed roads may prefer Aspire’s simpler value; those facing complex commuting have a credible reason to choose Apex beyond its alloy wheels.

What's Good
  • Full 325 km WLTP range claim retained
  • Automatic emergency braking
  • Adaptive cruise and forward warning
  • 360-degree panoramic parking view
  • Compact body with two luggage compartments
Watch Out For
  • No battery or performance gain over Aspire
  • DC charge-time window remains unstated
  • Real highway range will vary materially
  • 16-inch alloys add kerb exposure
  • Not configured for rough-road travel
